Soy wax candle wicks:
Wicks are an important part of your candle. While the wax and fragrance are important, the wick you use will determine how your candle will burn. Finding the perfect wick to use in a pillar is much more difficult than finding the wick for you container, since having a larger melting pool in your container does not mean you have a mess on the floor!!
Generally speaking, the size of the wick you will need depends on the diameter of the container you are wanting to use. This is a guideline, and shouldn't be taken as "the wick law!" There are a lot of variables that go into determining your wick size.
In general I use tabbed wicks. These wicks already have the metal disc crimped on the bottom of the wick. This makes candle making much easier! For votives and other small molded & container candles I will generally use a votive wick. These are the perfect length for a votive mold.
For larger containers I use HTP wicks. These wicks can be purchased online from many sellers. They do not have a wire core but burn hotter than most wicks. Here is a list of available HTP wicks and the relative candle sizes. Please note that all of these are approx 6 3/4 inches long.
For larger container sizes, feel free to experiment with multiple wicks in your candle!
