Making Massage Oils:
To get started making your own massage oils, you need to start with a good base. I prefer the massage oil base sold at www.saveonscents.com. This blend is a mixture of sweet almond, apricot kernel, and sunflower oil. They also have a blend with jojoba oil, but I have not tried this blend. I generally add 1/4 - 1/2 ounce of fragrance oil to 16 oz of massage oil and shake vigorously. Please adjust the fragrance oil to the quantity you are making. Also keep in mind that some fragrance oils can irritate the skin, so the less you use, the better while maintaining the fragrance level you want. Also, make sure to check with your fragrance oil supplier on a fragrance oil's potential to irritate the skin. Some suppliers sell cosmetic grade fragrance oils which are better suited for applications like massage oils. As always, if you have questions regarding your home made massage oils, please let me know!
